  34.     Abstract:
  35.       This coverage contains points that describe centerpoint
  36.       locations of and primary commodity produced by oil and gas
  37.       fields of the Australia and New Zealand area  (Australia,
  38.       New Caledonia, New Zealand, Tonga and Vanuatu; and parts of
  39.       Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands).
  40.     Purpose:
  41.       To delineate the centerpoint locations of and primary commodity
  42.       produced by oil and gas fields in Open File Report 97-470F Maps
  43.       Showing Geology, Geologic Provinces, and Oil and Gas Fields of
  44.       the Asia Pacific Region; Plate 3: Australia and New Zealand,
  45.       which is being compiled as a reference for the U.S. Geological
  46.       Survey's World Energy Project assessment of undiscovered,
  47.       technically recoverable oil and gas resources of the world.
  48.       This coverage is used to produce a map and an Adobe Acrobat
  49.       Portable Document of the map to be published on CD-ROM. An
  50.       Arcview shapefile derived from this coverage is used in an
  51.       Arcview project and an ArcExplorer project.
